With great regret, we announce the loss of our grand old silver maple. This wonderful tree presided over Beaverdam Road for an estimated 150 years, providing shade and habitat for many.
We would like to share with you another example of how incredibly loving our amazing staff members and clients are. Cindy, who is Dr. Plankenhorn’s Exam Room Tech, brought us the idea of helping the pets of Asheville’s homeless people through the Project Connect 2010 event. Project Connect is an annual one day event that is held in conjunction with the VA Stand Down. The aim of Project Connect is to provide onsite barrier-free services to the homeless population of Asheville-Buncombe while facilitating community awareness and participation.

You don’t have to be nervous or afraid to trim your pet’s nails. You can learn to trim them without stressing your pet; all it takes is a little patience and training. Sometimes the training takes just minutes and other times you may need to practice for weeks with twice daily sessions – it depends on your pet.
Animal Hospital of North Asheville will be closed Monday for Labor Day. Staff will be providing care to hospitalized patients, but we will not be open for appointments or emergency care. We will be open as usual on Saturday from 8:00 AM until 12:00 Noon and a doctor and staff will be available Saturday and Sunday at 4:00 for Acute Care.
