Since both Christmas and New Year’s Day fall on a Sunday, Animal Hospital of North Asheville will be closed the day before each of the two holidays to allow our hard-working staff time to enjoy the holidays. Whenever we are not open, Regional Emergency Animal Care Hospital (REACH) is available at 677 Brevard Road. Please call them at 828-665-4399 to let them know you are on the way.

The holiday season is a time when parties, families, and gifts are centered around food. And there in the middle of it is your dog. Who can resist the high speed tail wag, pleading eyes, and the feed me dance? It’s not easy for you and your guests to say no, but it is in the best interest of your pet to not indulge them with tasty holiday treats. Many treats can not only add extra calories and unwanted weight gain to your pet but can also cause vomiting, diarrhea, a more severe illness called pancreatitis or potentially life-threatening toxicity.
