The Animal Hospital of North Asheville will be closed Monday, May 28th in observance of Memorial Day so our AHNA staff can spend time with loved ones. We will maintain normal hours before and after Memorial Day Weekend.

  • Saturday, May 26th, normal business hours: 8:00am -5:00pm
  • Sunday, May 27th - CLOSED
  • Monday, May 28th - CLOSED

We regret to announce that AHNA will no longer continue our Sunday Emergency hour from 4:00PM to 5:00PM as of May 27th. We will continue to care for our non-critical hospitalized patients over the weekend.

We are sad to announce that we will no longer continue our Sunday Emergency hour as of June 1st.

We are offering more appointment times during the week to help accommodate our clients. We will still offer our extended Saturday hours from 8:00AM-5:OOPM with a full staff. We will still be providing care for our hospitalized patients during the weekend.

We are excited that many of our awesome staff are helping raise donations to support Asheville Humane Society in the WNC's Pet of the Year Contest. The Animal Hospital of North Asheville and our super staff are proud supporters of the Asheville Humane Society (AHS). We want to recognize an amazing technician who is celebrating 40 years with Animal Hospital of North Asheville this month. After graduating from Warren Wilson College, Mary was hired on as the first technician at AHNA in 1978.

Mary is part of our wonderful specialized dental team, and also manages our inventory. She is compassionate, dedicated, hard-working, extremely knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. Animal Hospital of North Asheville was proud to present the 14th Annual Taste of Compassion benefiting the animal of the Asheville Humane Society.

It was a night of glamour, great music, wonderful food, craft beverages and a community coming together to help local animals in need.

All together, $147,500 was raised! Thank you to all of the attendees, bidders, sponsors and auction donors! The Asheville Humane Society and the Animal Hospital of North Asheville are so thankful for all the generosity and support!
