Animal Hospital of North Asheville Helps Homeless Pets

At Animal Hospital of North Asheville we always strive to help local animal welfare organizations as much as possible. That is why we are a ‘Top Dog’, or a presenting sponsor, for Animal Compassion Network’s (ACN) Taste of Compassion fundraiser.

The Seventh Annual Taste of Compassion will take place on Thursday, November 11, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Venue in downtown Asheville. A wine tasting and silent auction will take place to benefit ACN’s Foster and Adoption Program. There will be over 200...

With great regret, we announce the loss of our grand old silver maple. This wonderful tree presided over Beaverdam Road for an estimated 150 years, providing shade and habitat for many.

In 1998, when we expanded the Animal Hospital, even though we were advised that the tree was very old and perhaps nearing life’s end, we wanted to preserve this majestic tree. We hoped that the recommended infusions, aerating of the soil, feedings, and...

Project Connect is an annual one day event that is held in conjunction with the VA Stand Down. The aim of Project Connect is to provide onsite barrier-free services to the homeless population of Asheville-Buncombe while facilitating community awareness and participation. Although Project connect had tried to help the...

Animal Hospital of North Asheville will be closed Monday for Labor Day. Staff will be providing care to hospitalized patients, but we will not be open for appointments or emergency care. We will be open as usual on Saturday from 8:00 AM until 12:00 Noon and a doctor and staff will be available Saturday and Sunday at 4:00 for Acute Care.

We care about your pet and want to be available as much as possible so that he or she can be treated here where we already know your pet and have a full medical record. Except for once or twice a year when we have to cancel the 4:00 Sunday Acute...

Recently, Procter and Gamble, owner of Iams and Eukanuba, issued a recall on certain dry pet foods. AHNA immediately identified and contacted all owners of pets who we knew were fed these dry foods to warn them of the recall.

Below you will find a link with more information on the recall as well as a list of UPC codes included in the recall.

For this reason, Animal Hospital of North Asheville has offered late afternoon and evening hours for over 15 years. For the convenience of our working families, we also offer wellness appointments during the evening. At Animal Hospital of North Asheville, we are truly dedicated to your pet’s well-being and comfort.

One way we show this is by having a veterinarian(s) and staff available at a moment’s notice to provide emergency care to your pet. Many veterinary hospitals...
