Rabies can be a serious problem for you and your pet if you let your pet’s rabies vaccination go past the expiration date. If your pet’s rabies vaccination has expired and your pet comes in contact with a wild animal, the law states that your pet must either be quarantined for 6 months in approved facility (you are not allowed to visit) or your pet must be euthanized.
