We invite Puppy Parents to AHNA Puppy Preschool's Parents’ Night.

This month we proudly celebrated the second anniversary of our AHNA Puppy Preschool. We were excited to welcome 107 puppies and their families to our preschool during the past year. Just like our puppies, we have grown, matured and expanded what we offer in class over the past two years. We feel fortunate to have had the best puppy families join us.

Socialization is a very important learning process through which puppies become accustomed to being around different types of people, animals, objects and environments. Puppies have a short window between 3-16 weeks of age when they are learning how to be a part of society and form opinions on what is scary and what is safe. In the wild, these opinions can be a key to survival.

An Annual Comprehensive Wellness Exam is one of the most important things you can do for your pet. Even if your pet has had several veterinary visits during the year due to illness or other problems, please make sure to bring your pet in for his or her annual wellness exam.

Puppies and kittens arrive as adorable, new little family members that we are eager to show off, and it is exciting to purchase that new collar, ID tag, leash, litter box, bed, toys and the very best food. Soon you realize that BLAH training is necessary (Brushing teeth, Leash And House training).

For the past year, Thursday nights at Animal Hospital of North Asheville have been filled with the sounds of puppies, families, laughter, and play. Puppy Preschool has been the place to be. Over the past year, our Puppy Preschool has grown, changed and developed into a special place for puppies and their families to socialize and learn.

Thursday nights in Animal Hospital of North Asheville's Education Room have been filled with the pitter patter sounds of puppy paws and laughter. Our adorable Puppy Preschoolers have been learning valuable socializing skills while playing with the other puppies who attend, building confidence with positive experiences, and meeting new people. Our wonderful puppy parents are doing a great job of allowing the puppies to explore new things at their own pace and cheering them on at each step.
