Animal Hospital of North Asheville Annual Holiday Pet Food Drive

Last year with your help, we donated 10,000 pounds (5 tons!!!) of pet food to local animal welfare organizations. Thank you for your astounding support – now let’s do it again! Maybe we can even raise 11,000 pounds this year!

There are so many hungry dogs and cats and we want to do everything we can to help them. There is nothing you can do for us that will make us happier during the holidays than supporting this annual food drive! Once we receive the first 8,000 pounds, Animal Hospital of North Asheville will be thrilled to donate another ton! That’s our challenge: Bring in 8,000 pounds of food and we will happily donate another 2,000 pounds.

Please help make the holidays brighter for needy dogs and cats by dropping off any kind of canned or dry food (puppy, kitten, or adult), blankets, pet toys and/or monetary donations at Animal Hospital of North Asheville, during normal business hours between now and December 25th. The food donated in our annual Holiday Pet Food Drive will benefit Asheville Humane Society (now joined with Animal Compassion Network), Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, and Meals on Wheels (pet food assistance program). We will distribute the donations among the three organizations to help needy dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.

Animal Hospital of North Asheville is very grateful to have these wonderful organizations working hard all year round to help homeless and needy dogs and cats. Food drives are just one way AHNA works to help needy dogs and cats through local animal welfare groups. Our veterinarians perform life-saving care for these organizations to provide injured homeless pets a second chance at a happy life. Some of our veterinarians are members of the Leadership Circle of the Asheville Humane Society, Dr. Betsy Thompson and Dr, David Thompson have held positions on the Asheville Humane Society Board and Animal Hospital of North Asheville is a corporate sponsor for events.

We send out a big THANK YOU for the important and essential work these organizations do to help homeless animals!
