Another Five Tons of Food Donated to Help Needy Dogs and Cats!

Thank you, everyone, for all your generous donations to help needy dogs and cats in our community! Our holidays at Animal Hospital of North Asheville are made so much brighter because from Thanksgiving until New Year’s Day, we have a steady stream of wonderful and very generous members of the community who bring in dog and cat food, treats, toys, and blankets to help needy pets.

This year’s Holiday Pet Food Drive brought in a tremendous amount of food! We have divided the community donations between Asheville Humane Society, Brother Wolf, and Meals on Wheels. Their brave and wonderful volunteers picked up the food on the coldest day of the year and transported it to these three amazing groups, so needy dogs and cats are eating it right now! In late February, once the food supply at each place had dwindled, Animal Hospital of North Asheville will donate another ton of food to bring the total donated to five tons! Thank you to everyone who donated and thank you to our staff members who took all the food in and moved it about as needed. We also appreciate the wonderful volunteers and workers who picked up the food and transported it to Asheville Humane Society, Brother Wolf, and Meals on Wheels. It was so very cold they day they picked it up, but they were all extremely appreciative of the community’s generosity toward hungry dogs and cats. These organizations welcome and appreciate your donations and support throughout the year, so please consider dropping off pet food at any of these three organizations.
