For the past 6 weeks, AHNA hosted Jenny White, CPDA-KA of Dog-Ed along with 4 families and their canine companions for a hands-on TTouch training class. The teams of dog and humans worked together with this unique approach of teaching through mutual encouragement and respect.
Using a specific form of bodywork and specialized movement exercises, the TTouch Method promotes cooperation, well-being and improved behavior by reducing stress and physical tension. TTouch increases body awareness and reduces stress, while at the same time improves the relationship and communication between people and their pets. It is very relaxing, too. Since stress reduction and force-free training methods are core values for us at AHNA, we were thrilled to host this class teaching the principles of this amazing way of helping dogs to overcome fear and other behavior issues. We want to congratulate the families on such as successful class.
If you are interested in TTouch, Jenny will be holding a TTouch: Free Informational Session on Thursday 7/30/15 from 6-7pm at Asheville Humane Society. THIS IS A FREE INFORMATIONAL HELP SESSION. This people only class is free and no registration is required. Everyone is welcome!
