The phrase "Never stop learning" is important in veterinary medicine. Throughout the year all of our staff members participate in continuing education, whether it be online, attending national conferences, seminars at universities, lunch and learns or presentations from visiting experts. Each of our veterinarians attend national veterinary conferences which offer classes by the most highly regarded speakers in their respective fields.
This year Dr. Wootten and Dr. Duncan attended the Western Veterinary Conference (WVC) 2016 in Las Vegas during the week of March 6-11th. The Western Veterinary Conference offers over 1,000 hours of quality and practical continuing education which includes 16 national symposia and 40 hands on labs.
This year, Dr. Wootten and Dr. Duncan focused much of their time at the Western Veterinary Conference on dermatology with a good bit of attention to allergies, feline medicine, pain management, endocrinology and feline and canine behavior. Dr. Wootten has a strong interest in internal medicine and enjoyed lectures on these topics. Dr. Duncan continued his love for surgery and used some of his time learning new surgical procedures.
