Please help us as we once again hold our annual Holiday Pet Food Drive to help needy dogs and cats in our community! A great many dogs and cats will need food and warmth this winter, so please donate to help them! Animal Hospital of North Asheville will match the first 2,000 pounds of food donated, so bring those bags and cans in! Donations will be distributed to Asheville Humane Society (which now includes Animal Compassion Network), Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, and Meals on Wheels Pet Food Program. Drop any canned or dry pet food, blankets, pet toys and/or monetary donations off at Animal Hospital of North Asheville during normal business hours before January 1st. Please, all checks need to be written to the organization of your choice (not to Animal Hospital of North Asheville). We will distribute the donations to the three organizations.
Animal Hospital of North Asheville is very grateful to have these three wonderful organizations working extremely hard day in and day out to help needy dogs and cats, so to show our appreciation, we will buy and donate a pound of food for every pound (up to 2,000 pounds) donated during our Holiday Pet Food Drive. Our food drive was so successful last year that AHNA matched 2,000 pounds of food to bring the total of donated food up to over 5 tons of food! There is great need in our community, so please donate as much as you can!
Food drives are just one way AHNA works to help needy dogs and cats through local animal welfare groups. Our veterinarians perform life-saving care for Asheville Humane Society so that injured or sick homeless pets can have a second chance at a happy life. Drs. Dave and Betsy Thompson have helped local animals through their work with Asheville Humane Society for decades. Several of our veterinarians are members of the Leadership Circle of the Asheville Humane Society, Dr. Matthew Goetz currently serves on the Asheville Humane Society Board and Animal Hospital of North Asheville is a corporate sponsor for animal welfare events. We send out a big THANK YOU for the wonderful work these organizations do to help homeless animals!
