Puppies W.I.N. will be given by Tristan Rehner on May 20th at 7:00 p.m. in the AHNA Education Room. This is a special help session for people with puppies under 5 months of age. Understand what is age-appropriate puppy behavior, learn how to establish good habits to prevent problems from developing, and discover how to take advantage of your puppy’s socialization window.
Puppies W.I.N. is open to anyone who is interested in understanding more about their puppy – or who might be preparing to bring a puppy into their home. Attendance of a Puppies W.I.N. session is also required before enrolling in Puppy Class. All Help Sessions are for humans only. Please leave your pets at home.
WOOF! Help, I can't Stop Barking! in the AHNA Education Room on May 27th at 7pm.
Do you need some peace and quiet? Have neighbors complained and you now have Animal Services at your door? Feel like you've tried everything and nothing has worked? This free session is for you.
You will learn:
- The different reasons that dogs may bark excessively
- How to assess what is motivating your dog’s vocalization
- What training techniques will work best for your dog’s type of barking
Registration is not required, this is a FREE event!

TRICKS AND GAMES! Fun for you and your dog!
Tricks? Why would you want to teach your dog to “bow” or “back up”? So many reasons! Teaching your dog tricks will increase your dog’s mental stimulation, sharpen your training skills, make you laugh, strengthen your relationship and communication skills with each other, gives your dog something fun to do instead of the unwanted behavior, and much more! In this play-filled 4-week class, you will learn how to teach spin, beg, bow, crawl, back up, targeting, scent games, tug, agility activities, and more. This class is open to dogs of all ages, reactive or dogs who have displayed aggression in the past must be pre-approved by instructor before joining class.
