Mother May I? The first step to a courteous canine is self-control!

This is a 4 Week Training Class for you and your dog. Classes start Sat. Jan 2nd - Jan 23rd from 4:00-5:00pm, held in the AHNA Education Room. Taught by: Jenny White, CPDT-KA of Dog-Ed

This class is perfect for adolescents and dogs whose impulse control could use some polishing. In this class, you will learn how to teach your dog to greet people politely, "wait", and "leave". You will also gain the knowledge of how to use your body language to influence your dog's behavior.

Requirements:

  • Current vaccinations of DHPP, Bordatella and Rabies
  • Attended "Unleash the Possibilities"
  • Completed "Concentration" class

Puppies W.I.N. (What is normal puppy behavior)

This class is being presented free of charge on Tuesday, January 19th at 7:00pm in the AHNA Education Room by Tristan Rehner, MS, CPDT-KA of Pet Behavior Aid.

This free Behavior Help Session is especially helpful for anyone with a puppy under 5 months of age or anyone planning on adding a puppy to the family. The focus of this help session will be to help you learn what age-appropriate puppy behavior is for your puppy, learn how to establish good habits to prevent problems from developing, and discover how to take advantage of your puppy’s socialization window.

Puppies W.I.N. is open to anyone who is interested in understanding more about their puppy or who might be preparing to bring a puppy into their home.

The mission of Pet Behavior Aid, a non-profit organization, is to increase the retention of companion animals in their homes in Asheville and Western NC through education and training programs for people who have dogs or cats, animal shelter and rescue workers, and the general community.

Help Sessions are for people only, so please leave your pet at home. Our goal is to teach you what you need to know to help your pet. Help Sessions are free to the public on a first come, first seated basis.   • Proper accident clean-up
  • Troubleshooting
