Puppies WIN ( What is Normal Puppy Behavior?)

Tuesday, July 21st from 7:00pm - 9:00pm

This free Behavior Help Session is for anyone with a puppy under 5 months of age or anyone planning on adding a puppy to the family. The focus of this help session will be to help you learn what age-appropriate puppy behavior is for your puppy, learn how to establish good habits to prevent problems from developing, and discover how to take advantage of your puppy’s socialization window.

Puppies W.I.N. is open to anyone who is interested in understanding more about their puppy or who might be preparing to bring a puppy into their home.

This free Behavior Help Session is being presented by Tristan Rehner, MS, CPDT-KA of Pet Behavior Aid.

The mission of Pet Behavior Aid, a non-profit organization, is to increase the retention of companion animals in their homes in Asheville and Western NC through education and training programs for people who have dogs or cats, animal shelter and rescue workers, and the general community.

Help Sessions are for people only, so please leave your pet at home. Our goal is to teach you what you need to know to help your pet. Help Sessions are free to the public on a first come, first seated basis. Please be aware that Animal Hospital of North Asheville will be seeing patients while the Help Session is in progress, so some of our parking will be reserved for the families of patients needing care. You may be directed to nearby parking that is available. Thank you for understanding.

In case of inclement weather, behavior help sessions will be cancelled. If you have any doubt whether the class will be held, check our Facebook page or call Animal Hospital of North Asheville at 828-253-3393.

Learn a New Language... Dog!

Tuesday, July 28th, 2015 at 7:00 in the AHNA Education Room

Come learn how to "read" your dog's posture and signals, so you can better understand your dog's emotions and motivations.

Reading a dog's body language is not only helpful in predicting his or her reactions in situations, but also key to modifying their behavior. Becoming fluent canine body language will allow you to enjoy interactions with dogs and stay safe at the same time.

This class is being presented free of charge on Tuesday, July 28th, 2015 at 7:00 in the AHNA Education Room by Jenny White, CPDT-KA of Dog-Ed.
