It is new thinking for many people, but proper dental care will keep your pet more comfortable, lengthen life and prevent bad breath. It is never too early or too late to start caring for your pet’s teeth! Come see live demonstrations and learn how to care for your pet’s teeth at home. We can help make it easy and fun!

Topics that will be covered:

  • learn what dental disease in dogs is
  • learn how cats are different than dogs in their dental care needs
  • learn about the unique feline oral diseases (peridontal disease, “ cat cavities” and stomatitis)
  • learn how dental disease affects the entire body
  • listen to a frank discussion about anesthesia
  • see what occurs with professional dental care
  • learn how new techniques can save teeth (avoid extractions)
  • tour a high tech dental suite
  • see a live demonstration of dogs having tooth brushing – the right way

As much as we wish we could include your pet in this class, it is for humans only, so please leave all those sweet and wonderful pets at home.

Help Sessions are for people only, so please leave your pet at home. Our goal is to teach you what you need to know to help your pet. How to Help Your Dog's Noise Phobia

Tuesday, May 24th at 7:00 pm in the AHNA Education Room presented by Jenny White, CPDT-KA of Dog-Ed.

Does your dog begin to pant or whine when they hear a sudden noise? Hide or frantically try to escape when fireworks go off or a thunderstorm hits? Does she or he salivate or use avoidance when seeing a person or object that has been associated with the “scary” noise?

In this free Behavior Help Session, you will learn why some dogs suffer from this issue, management strategies to use, tips on behavior modification, and adjuncts that may help decrease the intensity of your dog’s response to the noise.
