Pet Help Sessions - October 2014

Help Prevent Your Cat’s Destructive Scratching

Come learn ways to help prevent your cat from destroying your furniture and carpets by scratching.  This Free Behavioral Help Session will help you understand the normal behavioral needs cats have for scratching and ways to meet those needs that are acceptable to both cats and people.  The behavioral pros and cons of declawing will be covered as well as some alternatives to declawing for people who are having trouble managing their cat’s destructive scratching.

This class is being presented free of charge on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 7:00 in the AHNA Education Room by Tristan Rehner, MS, CPDT-KA of Pet Behavior Aid.

The mission of Pet Behavior Aid, a non-profit organization, is to increase the retention of companion animals in their homes in Asheville and Western NC through education and training programs for people who have dogs or cats, animal shelter and rescue workers, and the general community.
