We are proud to be a sponsor of Brother Wolf’s Run for the Paws 5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk on Sunday, April 22, 2012!
We are inviting everyone to join us in walking (or running) in support of healthy living and homeless animals. All proceeds benefit Brother Wolf.
Run for the Paws Health and Wellness Fair will be a day of live music, good food, games for kids and dogs, and much, much more! Dogs are welcome and encouraged to come.
The event takes place Sunday, April 22 at Fletcher Park. The Wellness Fair starts around noon and the race starts at 1:30pm. Everyone who would like to join us walking or running, should plan to meet at our booth near the Pavilion at 1:15pm. Be sure to Register for the 5K or 1 mile Fun Walk.
Even if you are not planning to walk or run, stop by and visit us at our Wellness Booth. We will have nutritious snacks, information, and fun, healthy ideas. Some of our veterinarians will be available to answer your questions and we will be giving away free leashes and other fun stuff!
Visit our events page on the AHNA facebook page for more information. Let us know if you want to join us walking!
Executive Director of Brother Wolf, Denise Bitz, said, "The Run For The Paws is one of Brother Wolf Animal Rescue's biggest fundraisers of the year. Last year BWAR had over 300 runners and walkers. This year, our goal is to reach 500 attendees, in the hope to make this year bigger and better! Not only is there a flat 5k where people are welcome to run with their dogs, but there is also a one mile fun walk as well. After the run and walk is over, visitors will have a fantastic time visiting one of the dozens of pet and human related vendors, all the while enjoying some live music. Events like this one are what help Brother Wolf keep our adoption center and shelter open to the public 7 days a week, 365 days a year and enables us to save thousands of lives every year. We are thankful for businesses like the Animal Hospital of North Asheville that sponsor this event, and allow us to continue our life saving work in the community."
