Last week we celebrated National Veterinary Technician Week to honor our Veterinary Technicians. Veterinary technicians have specialized degrees from an American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) accredited school and are required to pass state and national examinations to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. These amazing women at AHNA perform diagnostic testing, administer anesthesia while monitoring patients, work as laboratory technicians and nursing staff to help maintain the highest level of patient care. Our RVTs maintain a level of continuing education to stay first in their field.
During the week, we also celebrated Staff Appreciation week. We have a fantastic team of people who work together to bring the highest level of care to your pets:
- Registered Veterinary Technicians
- The Client Care Team
- The Patient Care Team (including Veterinary Technician Assistants, Non-Registered Nursing Staff, Pharmacy Staff, and Patient Care Coordinators)
- Exam Room Team Members
- Hospital Care Staff
We, at the Animal Hospital of North Asheville, feel so lucky to have such hard-working, dedicated, compassionate, highly skilled, wonderful people working together to provide top-notch care.
We were very humbled with all the well wishes, kind words, stories of how our staff touched the lives of our patients, and very yummy goodies that were sent in. Thank you to Elanco for helping us make the week a celebration for our staff. Thank you to our team for all you do! And thank you to all of our AHNA family for helping make this past week extra special.
