About Dr. Cody Pfister
Dr. Cody Pfister was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Growing up with parents who were both veterinarians, he developed an early interest in animal welfare and husbandry. Dr. Cody completed his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University and is a lifelong LSU Tiger fan - Geaux Tigers! Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Cody spent a year working for a land management company, specializing in oil and natural gas easements, traveling through the northeastern United States.
Growing up in the veterinary industry, he returned to his lifelong passion, graduating from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. Since graduating, Dr. Cody has worked in a large, 24-hour emergency and full-service veterinary hospital in New Orleans. Dr. Cody loves all areas of medicine, but is especially interested in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, regenerative medicine, emergency/critical care, and oncology.
He has a long-standing relationship with North Carolina, spending a majority of his vacations as a child and young adult exploring Appalachia. He and his wife Sydney, also a small animal veterinarian, have chosen to relocate to the place they love with their furry family, Mango (Greyhound), Ghost (Labrador Retriever) and Disco (Domestic Shorthair). Dr. Cody is an avid sports fan, and also enjoys golfing, kayaking, hiking, seeing live music and volunteering with animal rescues.
