Evelyn Konopik, DIPLOM, AAS, RVT

Evelyn holds a German degree called "Diplom" in Physical Geography, which is comparable to an American Masters of Science.  In addition, she earned an AAS in Veterinary Medical Technology from AB Tech in 2010.

After years of working with pets as Lead Pet Care Associate at PetSmart, Adoption Counselor at the Asheville Humane Society, and Veterinary Assistant and RVT at other animal hospitals, she joined the Animal Hospital of North Asheville in 2013.

Evelyn takes a special interest in canine and avian behavior and is a member of the Society of Veterinary Behavior Technicians as well as a supporting member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. Thursday nights you can find her teaching our Puppy Preschool classes. Evelyn is very knowledgeable and a leader in fear-free, low stress veterinary care and is a certified Fear Free Professional. 

Evelyn shares their home with two greatly loved senior dogs, Luca and Roana, and a teenage parrot, Pom, the beloved clown of the family.

Evelyn enjoys the beautiful mountains in WNC and loves to go hiking with her dogs.  She also takes every chance to attend canine and avian behavior conferences and seminars.

According to Evelyn, she is particularly impressed with the amount of individual attention each patient receives at AHNA and believes that the level of care and standard of veterinary medicine here are exceptional.  She says that the compassion for the patients truly shows in every single team member.
