Jodi Casher is a Registered Veterinary Technician with a BS from Penn State University and an AAS in Veterinary Medical Technology from AB Tech. Jodi joined the AHNA family in 2012. She is a part of the dental and treatment area teams but enjoys working in all areas of the hospital. She works hard to help each pet have a low stress, enjoyable visit. Jodi finds reward in making a difference in the lives of pets and their families and enjoys giving back to the community by helping with wildlife rehabilitation.
Jodi has an extensive background of working with animals. She has worked in the field as an Environmental Educator and Outdoor Guide teaching through wildlife. She has been a draft horse carriage driver for Carolina Horse and Carriage, giving guided tours on local natural history in many areas of the Carolinas. She worked at Positive Energy Outdoors in Duluth, MN where she drove teams of horses for educational sleigh, carriage, and wagon rides. She also gave educational dog sledding tours and sled driving lessons while caring for 36 Alaskan Huskies. In addition to all that, Jodi worked in the raptor center at Shaver's Creek Environmental Center in PA, where she helped care for 22 non-releasable rescued birds of prey and taught many educational programs using their raptors, reptiles, and amphibians.
Jodi and her husband, Chad, share their home with two greatly loved dogs: Bonnie, a Yellow Lab the professional tennis ball fetcher and Barley, the incredibly charming Feist mix.
