AHNA COVID-19 Update: Reopening in Phases

We are excited to welcome back smiling faces into the Animal Hospital of North Asheville starting Monday, June 7th. It has been a long time and we have missed you!

For the safety and health of clients and staff, we will be opening in phases. Initially, we will offer both in-person and curbside appointments for wellness, illness, and emergency visits; clients who wish to remain in their car during their pet’s visit will still be able to do so.

Due to the nature of veterinary medicine with our staff working in close proximity to each other, we request the following while visiting AHNA:
  • Only one adult to accompany their pet for the visit. We ask everyone to maintain social distancing as much as possible during the visit.
  • All individuals inside the building must wear a properly filled mask for the entire visit.
  • Anyone having COVID-19 like symptoms will need to reschedule their appointment or have a healthy family member or friend attend the appointment.

At this time, client access will be limited to exam rooms and the reception areas only. The possibility to stay with your pet before and after procedures, during hospitalization or procedures outside the exam room, will be offered again at a later time.

During the first phase of reopening, we will continue to admit and discharge surgical and dental procedures curbside.

As we reopen, we look forward to our clients meeting our wonderful new team members and reconnecting with many of the friendly faces they knew from before. We ask for patience and kindness as we go together through this transition.
