The holiday season is a time to spend with family and friends. It is a time of giving and goodwill to others. While most of us are lucky to have family, friends and loved ones, there are many in our community that do not have a family to call their own, and homeless animals that could use a little holiday cheer. We are so lucky and proud to live in a community with a big heart. Please help us spread some holiday joy by donating food, new or gently used toys and bedding, or a monetary donation for animals in need.
AHNA was proud to host Saturday training classes by Jenny White, CPDT-KA of Dog-Ed, throughout the year. During these classes the canine students and their families learned a variety of skills and basic manners. Students began with Jenny’s Free Help Session called Unleash the Possibilities, which teaches the basics of how canines learn and how to use this information during training. The next step was the Concentration class, which taught families and canines how to focus despite distractions.
Losing a pet friend and companion can be heartbreaking. Whether it is a sudden or planned goodbye, it is an emotional time. We understand the strength and specialness of the animal – human bond. Four Seasons Bereavement Support is hosting a Free Pet Loss and Grief Support Group the first Tuesday of each month. This group is for anyone who is grieving the loss of an animal companion and needs further support.
